Lighting & EMF

Daylight Computer is the product that I cannot stop raving about. Their screens do not have any blue light or flicker, which means no eye strain. The best part is that their lighting lets me use them outside in the sun.

I've been using f.lux for the last 10 years, and it's one of the products that I recommend to everyone. It's free, easily configurable to block off some of the blue light, and it reduces some of the eye strain.

We're so used to using our laptops on our lap—after all, it's in the name of the product—but we don't realize we're subjecting our laps to harmful EM radiation. Using this DefenderShield Laptop EMF Pad protects us from some of this radiation.

Please do not hold your phone in your pant pockets (for men) and next to your breasts (for women). EM radiation from phones is linked to cancer and other harmful diseases. A phone pouch like this is extremely helpful.

We are constantly exposed to blue light from our screens all day. This is unlike how our ancestors used to live. Occushield helps block off some of this blue light from screens, and I use it during the day and night.

This GQ EMF meter helped me detect which parts of my house had high EMF radiation and enabled me to decide how to protect myself from some of these signals. It's eye opening to see how much EM radiation we are exposed to!

Babies are more sensitive to EM fields than adults because they don't yet have the protective melanin covering in their brains. When you're pregnant, wearing this belly armor is a good idea, especially when you're traveling on planes.

I had no idea until recently that Himalayan salt lamps can mitigate some of the EM signals from our computer devices. I place them on the desk for them to absorb this EM radiation.

I use these gloves occasionally when I'm at devices for long stretches. Often, I will go for long walks with my baby with my phone in hand. These gloves are perfect for blocking some of the EM radiation.

Some of the research linking electromagnetic and Wi-Fi signals to sleep will leave you disturbed. While it's impossible to completely block off Wi-Fi in today's age, this Wi-Fi cover helps dial back signal strength near bedrooms.

This is great for reducing screen brightness without adding flicker to the screen. Your screen flickers which stresses your nervous system out and Iris mitigates it.

Life gets in the way, and we often have to work on our computers past sunset. We are exposed to blue light from screens which disrupts our sleep. The best way to mitigate that is by wearing blue light blockers, and Lucia Eyes is my favorite.

Very cool app to track sunlight and light exposure!

I'm trying to use candles more at night, they're better than using even red lights. Have to get the family on board with the weirdness haha! Most candles leave your air dirtier, these ones are great.

These are the only lights in my house post sunset! No blue LEDs. Been a game-changer for sleep. Read more: https://www.livelongerworld.com/p/redlights

I've been playing around with testing different lights using this.
